Re-using travellers on multiple tour bookings

This feature allows a person who has continued shopping online and is making an additional tour booking, to re-use their traveller information from the first tour booking (not have to enter it twice).

This allows for 2 scenarios

  1. When a person is booking 2 tours in the 1 shopping cart, they don’t have to repeat their details for the 2nd booking, and the cart has only 1 passenger doing 2 tours.
Example : The same people are booking more tours the next day

  2. When 1 person is doing 1 tour, and a different person is doing the 2nd tour, the consumer can provide new person details for the 2nd booking, and the cart has 2 passengers doing 1 tour each
Example : Mum and Dad on Queen Fare, and Son and Daughter on Bunk Fare (we want 4 passengers in correct beds, not the Mum and Dad being linked to the Queen and the bunks

This is used by the public (consumers) on the Operator’s website, so they will not have any access to documentation like this. This information is for the benefit of the Tour Operators in case there are troubleshooting issues, or explanations required.

ResPax has made the UI as easy to understand as possible so the consumers can make bookings.

2nd booking starts with an empty passenger name by default and will create an additional passenger for the set of booking
When the re-use Passenger Name checkbox is enabled, the previous Passenger Name is displayed, and no additional traveller numbers are added.
