How to View Gift Certificate by Staff in RBE

Available in RBE/OBE 1.4.6 expected in January 2024

When 1 or more tours are purchased as gifts, then the Gift Certificate tab on the Bookings form will display.

Instructions - How to view by Staff in RBE

Step-by-step guide for Staff to view a gift certificate via RBE Admin.

1. View existing Gift Certificates
   In RBE, click on Bookings > Gift Certificates Tab

2. The Purchaser and Recipient name and email address can be searched and also the Booking No.
   note : gift code is not known by staff and cannot be searched for

3. To View the Gift Certificate details, click on the view icon

   Open

   

4. The Gift Certificate record is read-only but shows all data about the Gift purchase including tour details, and passenger types and passenger numbers

Including Payment transactions

Cancelling a Gift Certificate

A gift Certificate cannot be cancelled from the read only record.
The process is to redeem the certificate in RBE, then refund the Payment Line
Note : the gateway (ccard or paypal) refund will go back to the Purchaser not the recipient
After refunding the payment, the Booking can be cancelled.
This marks the gift as being redeemed for zero value and completes the process
