Promo Codes

Overview

Promo codes can be used for promotions, packages, or to entice customers to return by offering discounts. Promo codes can be created in Respax as a Manual Promo Code or a Smart Rule Promo and will work in both the RBE and OBE. Staff, agents and public consumers can use the promo’s.

  • Manual Promo Codes - A Promo Code would need to be entered manually in the ‘Promo Code' field on the booking page for the discount/promotion to apply.

  • Smart Rule Promo - When a booking is made that matches a Smart Rule criteria, the Ticket will automatically be updated with the calculated dollar value adjustment, plus the Smart Rule code will be shown in the Smart Rule field in the booking form.

    Note: While these features are commonly used to decrease prices, they can also be configured to increase prices, depending on your business needs.

Navigating Promo Codes

1. From the Main Menu click on Settings > Promo Codes

  1. To Add a Promo Code click on the +Add Promo Code button. Click here to learn more.

  1. To search for an existing Promo Code click in the search field.

Note: You can search by Code/Name/Tour Code

  1. You can also sort the items by clicking on the column headers. You can sort them by Code, Name, Tour Date (From/To), Enabled Status, Web Enabled, Smart Rule, or Order.r.

  1. The pagination and "Rows per Page" features will help you easily navigate and get a clearer overview of your Smart Rules and Promo Codes.

  1. Click on the pencil icon to edit an existing promo code

  1. To copy an existing Promo Code - click on the box next to the code (a tick will now be displayed) and the Action button will now be available. Click on the Action button and select Copy. To Learn more about copying a promo code click here.
