Agent Type

Overview

Lookups are lists created and maintained by a Staff User. Once created, they can be used as type-ahead and dropdown lists throughout ResPax booking forms and maintenance screens.

 

  • The Agent Type list comes empty by default.

  • A Staff User can add custom data to the list and then group Agents into these Agent Types. Common uses may include: Visit Schedules (weekly, monthly, annually), or Parent Companies (List of OTA’s booking via RON API), or Belongs to Wholesaler( X, Y, Z). Each Agent in ResPax can belong to only one Agent Type.

As well as Agent Categories, ResPax also supports Agent Types.
Each Agent in ResPax can belong to one Agent Category AND one Agent Type.
Both of these groups can be used in Reporting, and both can have prices set to the group.

Navigating Agent Type

 

  1. From the Main Menu click on Settings > Lookups > Agent Type

  1. To Add an Agent Type click on the Add Agent Type Button

  1. Add a description and Save

  1. To edit the Agent Type click on the Pencil Icon.

Link the Agent Type to Organisation

  1. The next step is to connect the Agent Type to the Agent Organisation. This will ensure that when Agents create bookings they are grouped under the agent type.

Set Tour Pricing based on Agent Category

  1. Select the Add Price Range Button

  1. Select the ‘Agent Type’ from the dropdown list

  1. The Agent Type will now populate under the Groups subheading as pricing for this group.
