Copying a Promo Code or Smart Rule

Overview

This feature is highly effective for simplifying your setup when you need to apply the same criteria and rules to a different tour. Instead of creating a new promo code or smart rule from scratch, you can easily copy an existing one and make any necessary adjustments.

 

How to Copy a Promo Code

  1. Navigate to Promo Codes:

    • Go to Settings > Promo Codes to view the list of existing promo codes.

  1. Select the Promo Code to Copy:

  • Tick the checkbox on the right side of the promo code you want to copy.

  1. Activate the Action Button:

  • Once you select the promo code, the “Action” button will become clickable. Click it to reveal the option to Copy.

  1. Copy with Criteria and Actions:

  • After selecting your promo code(s), you’ll be prompted with an option to copy the Criteria and Actions associated with that promo code.

Note: The toggle buttons for “Include Criteria” and “Include Actions” will only appear when copying a single promo code. If you select multiple promo codes, this option will be skipped.

  1. Confirm and Copy:

  • Once you click Copy, the system will create a new promo code or smart rule with the name “Copy of [promo code Code/Name]”. You can then edit the name and settings to fit your needs.

  • The newly copied promo code or smart rule will be disabled by default to ensure it doesn’t apply to production immediately. You can edit it as needed, including changing the name and adjusting the criteria or actions.

  1. Copy Multiple Promo Codes:

  • You can select multiple promo codes at once or you may press the top box to select all.

  • You will be directed to a list of your selected smart rules for you to review, then you can simply click Copy to confirm your selection.

  • After copying, the system will automatically filter the promo code list to show only those with "Copy" in the name, making it easy to identify and edit each copied promo code individually.
