Overview

The process for creating a new user for Respax Tourdesk is easy. Typically, the operator receives an email from the Agent consultant using Respax Tourdesk wishing to book the operators tours directly. The Operator creates a new user in Respax for Windows, connect the user to the agent organisation and paste the details back into the original email request.

Respax Tourdesk offers a automated approach to enabling the agent to use the web interface. The set-up in Respax for Windows is very similar to setting up users for Respax Netwizard. In fact if a Netwizard user already exists for a requesting user, user set-up of this page can be skipped and just copy the user's details into the requesting form.

Typically, Respax Tourdesk sends a email request from the agent using the application. Set up the user in Respax for Windows and finish the setup by cutting and pasting the user details into the original requesting email. This approach offers a higher level of security as the agent is at no time directly aware of the user details to the Respax database. The Respax Tourdesk tool automatically takes care of the mapping.

Receiving the Email from Respax Tourdesk

Below is a typical email received from a travel agency requesting a login to Respax. Please note that the access given is highly restricted and is no different from the access given on the Respax Netwizard interface.

Click on the top link in the email (as show in the picture below)...

The Request page will display all information about the Agent and which Operator entity that is requested to be connected to...

Now Respax for Windows needs to be opened and the user needs to be set up.

Create a Valid Agent (or Use An Existing One)

The first step is to check if the agent already exist in the Respax database. If the agent exist, skip to Create a User and Assign Them to the Agent Organisation

Type in the agent information for the new agent. Make sure Enabled and Agent Role is checked.

Create a User and Assign Them to the Agent Organisation

In Edit/Add Users, create a user by clicking on the "Add RON user" button

Fill in all the details correctly and click "OK"

That is it. Nothing else needs to be done. The rest below is just checking the info you just entered:

To check the details for the user, the following screens displays the info added:

The user must be ticked as an agent. Via the login details button the following will be needed...

On the Details Tab...

The user must be assigned to the valid agency via the Def Agent field (use the orange button to search)

The Login enabled button needs to be ticked.

The Login ID must be unique in the database.

A password must be assigned using the change password button.

On the Permissions Tab...

The only tick needed is the Add New permission.

If permission is granted (by default) to edit web bookings, tick "Edit Web Bookings" as well.

The agent is now set-up to login to either the Netwizard interface or into the Respax Tourdesk system. Email the agent userid and password.

Finishing Off with ResPax Tourdesk Request Screen

Cut and Paste the user id and password from the above setup into the Request screen.

Just click Submit to save the details and finish the set-up. The new agent user will be notified via email that a login has been set up and approved. They are now ready to take bookings through the Respax Operator Network or the Respax Tourdesk tool.Â
