How to add a Tour Category
Click on the Add Tour Category button.
You will be prompted to give the tour category a name (Note: This field is required).
A category type is an optional setting that allows you to define how the new tour category will be utilized within the dropdown list.
Category Types
OBE: This category type is exclusively used to filter tours for online bookings in the Online Booking Engine (OBE) and is not displayed on the RBE Dashboard.
Dashboard: This category type is used to filter tours on the RBE Dashboard but does not appear in the OBE.
Suggested Tours: This category type groups tours together for promotional purposes on the OBE Cart page, specifically in the pop-up modal and/or cart footer. (the full development is coming soon)
Reports: This category type is reserved for system use to define reporting criteria.
Confirmation: This category type is designated for system use in managing confirmation communications.
None (left blank): If no category type is selected, the category is available for use in both the OBE and RBE Dashboard but will not be included in Reports, Confirmation, or Suggested Tours.
In this example below we have the tour category as Evening Tours, click Save.
The tour category will appear under the subheading Tour Categories and at the bottom of the list.
You can click on the pencil icon to update/edit the name of the tour category or adding a type
The tour category type can be seen on the right side of it make it easier to determine the purpose of each category that you have.
Note: If the tour category has no label it means that it will be available to be used in both OBE, RBE and Dashboard but not for Reports, Confirmation or Suggested Tours.
How to link a tour to a Tour Category
Click on the drop-down arrow of the tour category to expand the list.
On the right side of the Tours section, you'll see the tour status—green check marks indicate it's enabled (Ticketable and web-enabled), while gray means it's disabled. This helps you quickly verify if the tour you're adding is set up correctly.

Drag and drop any tour(s). (You can drag across as many tours as you like).
Click on the hamburger button next to any tour to drag and drop it vertically to your desired position. The tours at the top of the list will be displayed first on the OBE tour list.
If you try to add an existing tour in a tour category you will see an orange flag warning on the right side of your screen.
How to unlink a tour from Tour Categories
Click on the trash can icon to unlink a tour from the tour category.
Our system will display a confirmation message before allowing you to delete a tour to prevent mistakes.
How to delete a Tour Category
Click on the trash can icon at the bottom to delete the tour category. (Please be aware that this action will also remove all linked Tours).
