How to Redeem a Gift Certificate online

Prerequisite

Available in RBE/OBE 1.6.0 released in March 2024

Gift Certificates must be configured before they can be purchased and redeemed.

When 1 or more tours are enabled to be sold as gifts, then the Buy and Redeem options will display

Payment options are limited to full payment (no partial or deposit) via Gateway Payment types (Credit card, and Paypal)

Step-by-step guide for consumers to redeem a gift certificate via the OBE direct site.

1. From the top right of the page, select Redeem

Open

2. From the Redemption page, enter your 12 digit secret gift code including the GC
   Choose Redeem

   Open

   

3. There are 4 different responses

Success

Expired

Redeemed

Invalid

4. On successfully matching the gift code, a new booking page will load with these details pre-filled :
   - the tour purchased,
   - the first available date and time,
   - the fare purchased,
   - the passenger types purchased,
   - the passenger numbers purchased.

5. Enter the Primary Travellers details

6. The vaue of the gift certificate is deducted from the items being purchased leaving no balance due.

7. Or … A customer may increase the number of travellers, and pay the difference, and/or continue shopping and add more tours to the cart.
   The gift certificate value is applied to the original purchase and the difference can be payed.

8. Complete the remaining Customer Information fields
   Email and mobile are mandatory

9. Payment will not be required unless additional passegers or tours were added top the cart

10. The Confirmation page displays the Purchase details and a Confirmation email and PDF attachment will be emailed.
