Add POS Tills Lookup

Lookups are lists created and maintained by a Staff User. Once created, they can be used as type-ahead and dropdown lists throughout ResPax booking forms and maintenance screens. The Point of Sale (POS) tills list comes empty by default. A Staff User can add custom data to the list. The list is used to store the name and location of Cash Drawers (aka tills) throughout the business. The Tills can be numbered or identified by their desk or department, within a location

Step-by-step guide to adding POS Till

 

Prerequisites
User Group permissions are required for POS Locations to enable the POS Locations Tab
User Group permissions are required for POS Tills to enable the POS Tills tab
User Group permissions are required for Enable POS Tills to allow editing of the Enable option on the Tills page

Discount (Quick Ref : Tours / Locations/ POS Tills / Add)

  1. From the main menu, click Tours

  2. Click the Locations menu

  1. Select the POS Tills tab

  1. To add an POS Till , click on the Add POS Location button

  1. Add the Name (mandatory) and select a Location from the list (mandatory)
    Click on the Save button.

  1. When the Tills and Locations are configured, turn on the Tills feature by enabling POS Tills
    * requires user group permissions

  1. To edit tills, select the edit (pencil ) icon to the left of any row.

  2. Tills can be disabled

Summary of Important Information

New Tills are Enabled by Default
Till Name and Location are mandatory
A till cannot must be associated to a location
Disabled locations will not appear in the list when editing a Till
A Till can be disabled
An unused Till can be deleted
A Till cannot be deleted if it is assigned to a Payment (an orange warning will be displayed)

A Till can be created even when the Tills Feature is not in use (when ‘Enable POS Tills’ not enabled)
Enable POS Tills is turned off by default for new installations
There are prerequistes for User Group permissions for POS
- POS Tills enables POS Tills tab
- Enable POS Tills allows editing of the Enable option on the Tills page

 

There are no filters or search option for POS Tills in the List view.
