Add an Extras Groups Lookup

Lookups are lists created and maintained by a Staff User. Once created, they can be used as type-ahead and dropdown lists throughout ResPax booking forms and maintenance screens.

The Extras Group comes empty by default.

A Staff User can add custom groups to the list and then group Extras / Addons / Options into these groups on the booking form. This allows for minimum and maximum values within each group, and allows for ordering the display of groups of extras on the Booking page.

How it Works

  • If there is no minimum or maximum, then the term "select any of the following" is used

  • If the minimum is greater than 0, and maximum is empty, then the extra is not optional (it's mandatory), then the term "select [min] or more of the following" is used

  • If the minimum and maximum are 1, and there is only one option, then it is both mandatory and is selected by default

  • If the minimum is empty and the maximum is greater than 0, then the term "select up to [max] of the following" is used

  • If the minimum and maximum are both not empty and both not 0, then the term "select between [min] and [max] of the following" is used

  • If the minimum and maximum are greater than 0 and are both the same, then the term "select [max] of the following" is used

As well as Agent Types, ResPax also supports Agent Categories.
Each Agent in ResPax can belong to one Agent Category AND one Agent Type.
Both of these groups can be used in Reporting, and both can have prices set to the group.

Step-by-step guide to adding Agent Type Lookups

Origins (Quick Ref : Settings / Lookups / Extras Group / Add)

  1. From the main menu, click Settings

  2. Click the Lookups menu

     

  3. Select the Extras Group tab

  4. To add an Extras Group, click on the Add Extras Group button

  5. Add the Name, (mandatory)

  6. Add the Description (optional)

  7. Add the Minimum (mandatory)

  8. Add the Maximum (mandatory)

  9. Add the Order (optional)

  10. Click Save

The Extras Group Name will appear when configuring Extras on tours.

If you add multiple extras into a group, the minimum, maximum and order are applied to those extras on the booking form

 

The Extras Group Name will display on the Booking form when grouping the extras and will apply the minimum and maximum rules
